Prabhakar Sahoo Then Around Me
Watercolor on Canvas
2018
24 x 16 inches
The everyday life experience of the society we live in, and its impact on my mind, it’s been transformed into images. The keen observation of my surroundings has been gradually taken a visual transition in my work . As a migrator, from my perspectiveof city always seemed a painful to the small area/ town people who arecoming to city for a job / opportunity for survival, and they been treated as a labor class . Sometimes my works are metaphorically indicating the politics behind the issue .
Sometimes it is shown through black cloud on charcoal, sometimes the way blocked by barricade sometimes with the hiding people through masking , sometimes withrough opaque watercolorpatches , sometimes with just a line.
